LIT6004   Teaching Practice   (10 credits)

Description

This module aims to ground the new postgraduate tutor in the essentials of teaching practice. It is primarily discussion-based, designed to disseminate good practice while also encouraging students to share their own experiences. For each meeting the student will be asked to prepare sample teaching materials in advance. Throughout the module, the student will be required to keep a weekly teaching diary, and at the end of the semester will be required to hand this in as a final piece of assessment. The total length should not exceed 2000 words, and should include retrospective reflections on and analysis of the teaching process.
